Barry Castle 1935-2006 BOY & BERRY Oil on board, 16'' x 12'' , signed with monogram and dated 1994 Provenance: Solomon Gallery (Label Verso) The daughter of well known writer Maura Laverty, Castle was a naive artist best known for her vivid fantasies (Irish Times 26-8-2006). She was represented by the Portal Gallery in London. Her work is included in the National Self Portrait Collection in Limerick. She illustrated many of her mother's children's books.
