Location, Location, Location

Location, Location, Location is the all important factor when it comes to property. In furniture terms this equates to 'Provenance'. Good provenance is auctioneers gold and some of the 'Period' pieces in The Interiors Auction come with excellent provenance.

Top of the tree must be lot 59, an 18th Century Hunt Table that was purchased at the 1932 Contents Auction of Coole Park, home of Lady Gregory. William Butler Yeats was a regular visitor and penned the poem 'Coole Park' in 1932. Unfortunately, Coole Park was subsequently demolished and this is a great opportunity to acquire a piece original to the house.

Airfield House in Dundrum, Dublin 14, was home to the Overend sisters and a Contents Auction was also held there, in 1995. This was one of the finest collections of Irish furniture offered in Dublin at that time and Lot 53 in The Interiors Auction, a mahogany cabinet, was purchased at the auction by the current vendor.
