Mid July is traditionally a quiet time in the auction world but we have plenty to keep us busy. We received instructions last week to conduct a house clearance auction in a lovely period house in Monkstown. The vendor is a retired solicitor, who has a fine collection of period furniture, paintings, silver, glass, etc. Everything will go under the hammer in September and i will post further information when available. I was out there all week cataloguing and photographing the house, you won’t be disappointed.
Don’t forget this Sunday we are hosting a talk with Eamonn Mallie at The D4 Berkeley Hotel. ‘You Don’t Get Cured That Easily’ will start at 12 noon and I’m sure Eamonn will inform and entertain in equal measure. Places are still available if you are interested in attending.Posted in General | Irish Art | Upcoming Events
This will be the second in a series of Irish Art Seminars where we invite guests to speak.
While Eamonn Mallie has been reporting on Northern Irish politics for the last 30 years, he also has an overriding infectious passion for Irish Art. A keen collector with an astute eye, he remains a lifetime friend to one of Irelands finest painters, Basil Blackshaw. In 2003 he edited “BLACKSHAW”, the wonderful illustrative catalogue of Basils works.
There is limited availability for this seminar. If you would like to reserve a place please contact Aisling Foran at 01 6768300 or email email@example.comPosted in General | Irish Art | Upcoming Events
