Thing’s are fairly quiet on the domestic art front at present. The impressionist sales certainly produced astonishing results. Apparently many years ago there was a major charity sale arranged in Dublin & Francis Bacon sent over a painting but it failed to sell! Was it 25 million his small triptych went last week?
An idea for young collectors – form a group of 4, contribute €1,000 or more each per year. I will advise you and we can buy 4 paintings at the start which you can rotate around your homes. After 5 years we will sell them all and you can divide the proceeds. Any takers?Posted in General
