About Us

de Veres Art Auctions are the sole auction house in Dublin dedicated exclusively to the sale of Irish Art and a full member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland.

We are a highly motivated team, who are passionate about Irish Art. Under the directorship of John de Vere White, de Veres Art Auctions have been trading for thirty years. Throughout this time we have established a reputation of both integrity and professionalism, with an in-depth knowledge of the art world. We hold 4-5 Irish Art Auctions a year, catering to the upper end of the market.

We have conducted numerous successful charity auctions to raise funds for various world disasters, including Omagh (1998), Tsunami (2003) and most recently Haiti (2010). We are also an advisor to the Boyle Civic Collection.

We have been awarded the sale of several corporate collections over the last 10 years, including:

• The Guinness Peat Aviation (GPA) Collection (2001 & 2010)
• The Aer Lingus Collection (2001)
• The Yeats Collection from Ballymaloe House (2005).
• We successfully tendered for the sale of the Great Southern Hotels Art Collection, by the Dublin Airport Authority. The collection was subsequently donated to Office of Public Works (OPW) but we were responsible for the production of a 'Catalogue Raisonne' to showcase the collection (2007).
• Allied Irish Bank. Over the last ten years we have advised AIB and sold works on their behalf. We continually provide valuations on their artwork when pieces are loaned out on exhibition and recently we provided an insurance valuation on the entire collection.
